Future trends in the freight segment with Continental

Continental, in cooperation with Bartog and Tokić, organised a professional training course for truck tyres in Maribor at the beginning of May. Besides the presentation of the new models, participants also saw the Mobile Service Centre and the on-site fitting of truck tyres.

They learned about the future trends in the freight segment, which is increasingly moving towards lower fuel consumption and thus reduced tyre rolling resistance. Continental works with truck manufacturers to meet the needs of the freight segment, taking into account both EU legislation and the needs of fleets in the market. The new generation of Gen 3+ tyres is the result of these trends, as Continental continuously strives to achieve the best possible results in its development.

The mobile service was presented by mobile vulcaniser Branko Žolger. His converted van contains everything he needs to repair and re-fit tyres, which he demonstrated in a practical example. The advantage of mobile servicing is saving a lot of time and additional mileage, as every service can be carried out at the customer's premises.
