VISIT BY FACULTY OF ECONOMICS STUDENTS

A group of students from the Faculty of Economics of the University of Ljubljana visited our Logistics Distribution Centre in Mirna Peč in September. The visit was part of the Digital Transformation in Business survey, which will be presented in more detail on 18 November at the Business Conference in Portorož.

The group of students was welcomed by Logistics Director Matjaž Aljančič and introduced by HR Manager Lana Novaković. Josip Kelava from Tokić gave an online lecture on digital transformation at Tokić Group level and Luka Pate, Head of Online Sales at Bartog, presented our online sales and technology for online sales and marketing.

In these lectures, students learned more about the importance of digital transformation for new product development, process and organisational improvements, the development of new business models, and the use of ubiquitous technologies in day-to-day business, among other things. They also discussed the challenges, obstacles and solutions in the development and implementation of the digital strategy, as well as human resources – how to attract, retrain and educate people for digital transformation, what technology we use for the web portal, which issues we face and what implementations we have implemented to improve.

The students, accompanied by warehouse manager Boštjan Kladnik, visited our warehouse, and logistics and distribution centre.
